*** UPDATE to this Entry ***
Last month — right after posting “The Awakening” on this blog — I decided to begin a new blog with a different theme. The intent is to make it a repository of sorts for some of my favorite writings ~ a collection of inspirational pieces, quotes & poems. As I prepared to post my second entry there, a piece entitled My Grandma’s Hands, an amazing story began to unfold. It is a story that admittedly has captivated and consumed much of my time over the past couple of weeks.
Briefly, I discovered that a photo which I took to celebrate 5 generations of my family back in 2006 has been widely circulated in emails, posted on a number of blogs and websites, and even uploaded to several photo accounts and social networks. All of this has occurred without my knowledge, much less my name attached to it. I have experienced a range of emotions ~ from great pride & humility to awe & amazement. And honestly, there has been a little bit of discomfort too.
I invite you to visit my new blog, Retold Gold, read the whole story, and share your thoughts. Take a moment to read the premise of the site, About the Blog, along with my introduction to the first entry which was posted PRIOR to my discovery. With an ironic sense of timing, I wrote of the importance of giving people credit for their work. Little did I know how personal that issue would become just a day later.
Yours From Behind the Lens,
Pamela
