What a perfect way to put it: "Writing is much like having children ~ part of you ~ yet it breathes its own life and walks its own path." Sometimes for me it feels like the words just have to come out ...like I can't "not" write them, if that makes sense. It's interesting.

mmmm... so good. I love the Hutchins quote- I had never heard it before. It really does feel like words are inadequate some days. I always feel like I am writing my own thoughts and then suddenly when it's down on paper the thoughts have a life of their own- I have given birth to something that is no longer really just mine because I have shared it. It becomes it's own being. Writing to me is much like having children- part of you- yes- yet it breathes it's own life and walks it's own path.
