YJ Entry #19 ~ Sunday, September 28 ~ 8:10 p.m. ~ 27,000 feet in the air
I am on a plane from Denver to Dallas. I say “a” plane instead of “the” plane because I missed my scheduled flight. Despite being at the airport plenty early, I did not realize how far I was from the gate as I casually sipped my wine and wrote my last post. So, instead of getting in at 9:45 pm, it will be almost 11:30. I’m okay, but poor Brian! (I’m sorry, honey.)
Breaking Up is Hard to Do
As I tried to update the blog from the Denver airport, I realized that this single entry for all my Yoga Journal posts has become too memory intensive. With all the photos, it’s just taking too long for the page to load, so I’m going to end up breaking it into individual posts down the line. For now, it will just be half & half.
“Airing” my Thoughts
Okay so I want to know … was it just me or does the altitude wreak havoc on the digestion system? This is my polite way of saying I suffered from major gas in the mountains. Somebody tried to tell me that it probably had more to do with the vegetarian diet than the altitude, but I THINK NOT! This seems to happen every time I go skiing as well so I’m a bit skeptical of the whole vegetarian theory. I would ask if anyone else experienced this too, but I know FOR A FACT my dear Austin roommates (and maybe my Canadian friends too, EH girls?) also had an increase in uh … production. What’s that about? The gals I met from Steamboat told me I was crazy, but then they LIVE at this altitude so I’m still going with my altitude theory. Is there any science to back me up on this?
